Dear Friend:
In our world of constant change, it is reassuring to know that the goal of North Shore Animal League America has forever remained the same - to rescue and find loving homes for as many dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens as is humanly possible. In our effort to make it a safe world for all animals, the League is always striving to develop innovative ways to bring our animals to the attention of good families and to make the adoption process as easy and enjoyable as possible. Our Mobile Adoption Program permits an increasing number of potential adopters to become acquainted with our adorable pets. Our state-of-the-art motor coaches transport our animal orphans to centralized community locations where there are many kind and generous people who find it difficult to come to our Adoption Center. Once inside one of the 35-foot vehicles, these future pet owners meet a soon-to-be new best friend while adoption counselors conduct interviews and process forms - just as it is done at the League. Our quest to find loving homes for all companion animals has led us to share our mobile adoption vehicles with neighboring shelters. The League's Cooperative Adoption Program now assists other animal welfare organizations in bringing their sheltered pets to the attention of local people.
Recently, several exciting changes have taken place. We introduced a new logo. Through the Internet, the League's Adoption Photo Gallery has increased our ability to find happy homes for homeless animals. One aspect of the League will never change - our purpose and our goal since 1944 - to find loving homes for animals everywhere. It is a mission that, with your help, we will continue as long as there are homeless dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens.
Sincerely,
 John Stevenson, President | |
