Grace's Update

Hi again! I just wanted everyone to know that after my surgery I was fitted with a brace to make sure my leg was set properly. And the nice doctors and techs made me feel right at home in the medical center while I recuperated. Because of the generous support from people like you and the wonderful people at North Shore Animal League America, I healed was put up for adoption and found my very own forever home! I’m so lucky that the League took care of me when I needed someone the most. Please support Help Me Heal so that other dogs and cats can be helped just like me!

Grace's Story

Hi I’m Grace and I’m a Weimeraner. For some reason my owners abandoned me and then the scariest thing happened – I was hit by a car. Boy did it hurt! Someone tied me up to a pole where a friendly policeman found me and brought me to North Shore Animal League America. When I got here I required emergency orthopedic care because my front leg was so badly damaged. Within hours of my arrival at the League, I was transported to a facility where an orthopedic specialist could operate on me. These guys sure do work fast to make sure us dogs and cats are being taken care of. The bone in my leg was reset and I was fitted for a brace to make sure I healed properly.
