Benefits
The Seniors for Seniors Program was designed to match older animals with older adopters. Adopters must be 60 years of age or older and must adopt an animal that is one year of age or older. Adopters in this program are entitled to the following benefits of the program: |

- No adoption fee.
- Two free groomings per year
- 10% off all products at the NSALA Pet Store
- Benefits at the Medical Center only:
- No exam or medical co-pay within the first 15 days after the animal is adopted.
- Free annual vaccinations.
- Free semi-annual wellness exam (If additional procedures or diagnostics are needed, the adopter is referred to the Pet Health Center).
- Discount on preventative procedures (see chart).
- Discount on diagnostic tests (lab report, screening tests).
- No charge for the following procedures:
- CBC Differential SMA
- Thyroid Profile
- Urinalysis
- All other tests just 10% above our cost.
- Discount microchipping ($15 to inject, $15 registration).

The Olga Graham Fund
The Olga Graham Fund was created to assist participants in the Senior for Seniors program who have limited income and who adopt senior pets. To qualify for this program the adopter must be 60 years of age or older and must adopt an animal that is over one year of age. The number of participants served by the fund may be limited, and participants will be chosen on a first come first serve basis provided they meet the League guidelines for eligibility. Thanks to a grant from the Graham Foundation, the Olga Graham Fund may be used for the following benefits:
- $40 roundtrip transportation fare to The Alex Lewyt Veterinary Medical Center with a maximum of three trips a year per senior.
- Discount flea and tick preventatives
- A maximum of $500 per animal for any procedure or diagnostic test which does not fall under the guidelines for a wellness exam (CBC/SMA, T4/FT4, UA).
