On Saturday, April 26, 2008, celebrities, puppies and countless fans joined North Shore Animal League America in celebrating the Tour for Life 2008 Grand Finale Event at the world’s most famous toy store, FAO Schwarz in New York City.
Every year, North Shore Animal League America travels the nation bringing its life-saving mission on the road to help find homes for hundreds of orphaned dogs, cats, puppies and kittens and to raise public awareness concerning the plights of all shelter pets. This year was the best Tour for Life ever with a record-breaking 701 adoptions!
Grammy Award-winning singer, actress and devoted animal owner and enthusiast, Mýa led the pack as the Tour for Life 2008 spokesperson. In addition, Mýa and the cast of the Broadway play, Chicago, entertained the crowd with an explosive performance of “All that Jazz.” Also in attendance and in the toy store windows frolicking with playful puppies were Edie Falco, Josh Flitter, Hallie Kate Eisenberg, Brandon Hannan and racecar driver Justin Bonsignore. Thirteen homeless animals found loving families that day making the Tour for Life 2008 Grand Finale a huge success!
